I am a multidisciplanary installation artist. My works bear the traces of human influence in ecosystem, destruction of nature, system criticism and designing a better and sustainable future.
I am working on site-specific installations that examine and deconstruct the relations between spaces, ideas and the identities that represent them. I have defined the relationship between spatial dynamics and my works in the following terms: “Taking space into account and integrating it into the piece is a vital element of my production process. Space, with its physical, historical and socio-political dimensions, directs my production.”
Kant expressed his famous opinion : "Concepts without perception (thoughts without content) are empty, perceptions without concepts are blind.". According to Kant, knowledge has two aspects; These are content and form: "The content of knowledge is created by experience, but it is the mind itself that determines the form (or structure) of knowledge." For me , art is a way of to create the form for the mind.
I attempt to provoke awareness, to question the idea, create an atmosphere of discussion…
My projects are based on research. . It is a part of my creative process. It might be reading or interviewing on the subject and sometimes about new techniques and materials I intend to use. During research and production new issues come to the fore and this paves the way for my next set of works.
